Middleware 2012 - Call for Workshop Proposals

The Middleware conference (http://middleware2012.cs.mcgill.ca/doku.php?id=workshops) traditionally includes a number of high quality workshops, which are co-hosted with the conference. To continue this tradition, Middleware 2012 is soliciting proposals for 1-day workshops. Proposed workshops can be on any topic related to middleware, but we are particularly seeking new workshops in emerging, new middleware areas.

The Middleware conference is a forum for the discussion of innovations and recent advances in the design, implementation, deployment, and usage of middleware systems. Middleware is the software that resides between applications and the underlying architecture. The goal of middleware is to facilitate the development of applications by providing higher-level abstractions for better programmability, performance, scalability, security, and a variety of essential features. It is a rapidly evolving and growing field.

The deadline for workshop proposals is:

May 14, 2012 - Workshop proposal submission deadline

A workshop proposal (not exceeding three pages, 11pt, in PDF format) should include the following information:

Each workshop will organize their own publicity, submissions, and refereeing procedures and will provide their own web page. A link will be provided to this web page from the Middleware 2012 Web site. The workshop organizers will have to apply the schedule outlined below. The organizers of the workshop will ensure that all accepted papers are peer reviewed. Accepted papers should be no longer than 6 pages in the standard ACM format. Notice that workshop organizers are responsible for preparing the papers for their workshops in the format required by ACM. As in previous years, the Middleware conference organizers will provide companion proceedings including all workshop papers, which will be available in the ACM Digital Library. Camera-ready papers will be required by October 5th 2012.

The conference organizers aim for a common timeline for all workshops, which is presented below.
